My younger brother saved my wacky packs from total demise.
I joined the service in the late 70's. Because of my absence, my mother decided to throw out all my childhood stuff (I was a nostalgia pack rat).
After serving 4 years and returning home, I've forgotten all about my childhood stuff.
Years later, my younger brother came forward and revealed that he had my wacky pack collection. They were still in the Velveta Cheese box (perfect for holding the stickers). He gave himself a reward for saving the stickers; kept one each of the rare doubles and triples (the rare sticker that you had to spend $5.00 worth of nickels to get).
I still have that Velveta box about a third full of stickers. The usual downers that we used to dread getting like: Breadcrusts,Coverghouls,Duzn'ts,
Gadzookas,Maddie boy, etc.
Also in the box are Donruss's monster baseball players stickers. My brother never kept those for some reason.
All the wacky packs I ever collected are in a album. My brother put them in protective plastic for safekeeping. Now all I have to do is page through my collection and go through memory lane. Really cool.

I am 41 years old and will never forget how fanatical I was about Wacky Packages as a child. I was in the 3rd grade when I started collecting them and collected them all the way through the 15th series. I never knew the 16th series existed until I discovered e-bay. I have collected from the 1st through 9th series since the 2004 ones came out. I hope they continue making them. Miss the cigarette and beer Wacky's in the new series but guess I understand why they weren't spoofed in this day and time. What happened to series 2 that was supposed to come out in the Fall.

Thanks to this website, I have 'completed' my 2004 collection, learned more about the older Wackys, and I lost 47 pounds on the Krispy Kreme diet!
