Process to Create Images of Chrome Refractors

First they need to be photographed, they cannot be scanned.
This is what the original photo looks like.
It's skewed because it must be photographed from an angle to avoid bad reflections.

Digitally unskew back to rectangular.

Crop and add shadow.
Then select the artwork part.

De-select the part that's already light enough,
otherwise those parts will get washed out when we lighten the image.

Lighten slightly

De-select the parts that are now light enough.

Lighten some more.

The letters are still a bit dim.
Select just the letters.

Lighten the letters.

Sharpen the image.

The boy is still too dim,
but everything else is fine,
so select just the boy.

Saturate the colors of the boy.

The image is not well centered,
so select it, in order to move it.

Perform the move.

Scan, clean-up and add in the image of the back.
It is now ready for prime time.
